Above all,it industry doesn't need technical robots, they need smart
people.smart in the sense they should be pro-active in all the issues

Hence one should be more affective in
his speech,he should be more outspoken,i think these things helps any
software proffesional to a very great extent.
It is generally understood that communicating respect
for other people or professionals within will enable one to reduce
conflict and increase participation or assistance in obtaining
information or completing tasks.
For instance......to interrupt someone who
is currently preoccupied with the task of obtaining information needed
immediately, it is recommended that a professional use a deferential
approach with language such as,
"Excuse me, are you busy? I have an urgent matter to discuss with you if you have the time at the moment." This allows the receiving professional to make their own judgment regarding the importance of their current task versus entering into a discussion with their colleague.
While it is generally understood that
interrupting someone with an "urgent" request will often take priority,
allowing the receiver of the message to judge independently the request
and agree to further interaction will likely result in a higher quality
interaction. Following these kinds of skills
to achieve better professional results generally results in a
professional being ranked as one with 'good interpersonal skills.'

1.Leadership: The process of successfully influencing the activities
of a group towards the achievement of a common goal. A leader has the
ability to influence others through qualities such as personal
charisma, expertise, command of language, and the creation of mutual
respect
2.Networking: The ability to actively seek, identify and create
effective contacts with others, and to maintain those contacts for
mutual benefit.
3.Teamwork: Involves working with others in a group towards a common
goal. This requires cooperating with others, being responsive to
others' ideas, taking a collaborative approach to learning, and taking
a responsibility for developing and achieving group goals.
Besides their are even some other factors like collaboration, decision
making, mentoring and motivating others.Hope every one finds it good to
follow.
I agree with all the points discussed above. These are soft skills
areas that we need to survive in industry
soft skills for every hard-nosed professional:
Behavioural training experts say there are several soft skills are required in these circumstances. Some of them include:
In the olden days,IT is
like coming to office work till the evening sitting in the same
position from morning to evening, but today there is no such situation
anywhere. Now a days most of the IT companies are concentrating on the
Other activities which can relieve the stress of employees of their
companies in many different ways.
The sectors started
organizing different set of events like tournaments, blood
camps, undertaking village schools etc..With all these things there
will be a great relief for employees. It is a good sign.Hope it
continues in these sectors and emerging to new life of all the IT
sectors.

Dear all,
As Naresh said getting into an IT industry in not the only thing . .there is a Big challenge that is surviving in that Industry.
Essential things required are
1) Creativity to design applications which helps to achieve higher positions in that company
2) Interactiveness with everyone
3) And the most essential thing is live implementation. . concepts alone wont work the implementation plays a key role which freshers lack in that aspect
4) learning ability should be good . .
and many more . . .

Dear all,
As a fresh graduate our first goal is to get a job and once we acquire it, we then start striving hard to advance in our career.
We may have sound technical knowledge but this doesn't really prepare us completely for the things to come, in corporate world. There are few more areas we need to master to survive in the industry...
According to me the above mentioned are some of them.
- Good Communication skills
- Time management abilities
- Positive attitude
- Acting as a team player

Saran Teja.
I request u too post some tips how to manage it :)
I would like to add some more points to what my friend yeshwanth said
on stress management. Here are some of my points on stress management.
Stress management starts with identifying the sources of
stress of your life.
to identify true sources of your stress take a look at your
habits,habits and excuses.
Start a stress journal
->What caused your stress(make a guess if you don't sure
about that)
->What are you going through both physically and mentally
->How you acted in response
->what you did to make you feel better about yourself
Look at how you currently coping with stress

You did a right thing by asking Azam to give tips
about managing stress.Basically azam is very good at giving tips in
stress management. He also gave several lectures on it in several top
companies like Microsoft,Google,IBM etc...He was also awarded many
awards by those companies for his excellence in his lectures.
Many companies
today in the IT sector are following his methods in Stress
management.I too request him to give his valuable suggestions in
Stress Management.

I truly believe what Madhuri and Yeshwanth said.I have my own examples
of my friends who doesn't know anything about c,c++ or any other
languages but during training period they gained lot of knowledge on
all these languages and now they are able to perform any kind of
projects in the company and they are in better position now after the
training period .so training helps.
