Bridge forgets the last folder I had open when I restart the computer and PS4/Bridge. What gives?

Thanks Marv.

You have to exit Bridge before shutting down computer. Problem arises with the option to automatically start Bridge on computer start up.

Curt,
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I never had this problem on previous version of Photoshop/Bridge.
I DO shut down Bridge after closing PS CS4, but sometimes before. But it does get shut down before the computer does.

What is the correct procedure please?

Thanks Marv.

Do you have the option checked "start Bridge automatically with startup"? If so disable it.

I don't have CS4 but have read posts where many people are having the same problems you are. Auto start can be a real problem if reading from external drive, as Bridge may start before the computer determines if drive is connected.

I do; and what Curt says is correct. Having Bridge set to autostart gives exactly these problems.

It's okay as long as you take the trouble to exit Bridge from the systray before shutdown, but that's far too easy to forget.

That worked.

I have 3 internal 500gig Sata 7200rpm Drives and use "C" for my program's, and "E" for my files. "D" is BKUP and Scratch Drive.

Thanks Marv.

Curt & Freeagent,

Thanks... weird. But hey... on my fast system, it only takes Bridge 3 sec to open... so the manual open is well worth it. Still much faster than finding my folder all the time.
