toshiba laptop, vista premium, ati raedon 2400 card
When i've tried to bring in projects i'd been working on in cs3 into cs4 the image is fractured and abstracted into various shapes and lines. is there any way to solve this problem and if so, could you please tell me?

Did you attempt to disable hardware acceleration? Were the files saved on a system with a specific printer driver or color profile? True breakups of PSDs are rare, so I would presume you are experiencing display errors of some sort.
