on my old computer,
will i be able to still open cs2, in order to see my preferences and other settings, to help me set up the cs2 on my new computer?
or will it totally not open?
thanks

it probably will totally not open.

but you can COPY your prefs folder from one computer to the other. copy the %windir%\Documents and Settings\~username\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\[version #]\Adobe Photoshop [version #] Settings

folder and everything in it to a thumb drive or network. when you get hte new system up, copy that folder back to the new drive.

note: the folder structure might be slightly different on a vista system. that's the path structure for xp.

If you try and open it you'll be prompted to activate it.

no need to start a new thread. just do what dave said and copy your prefs over
