File Open produces an ole32.dll crash. XP Home with 2GB of RAM fully updated (both Windows and Photoshop CS4) and patched.
Any ideas?

Did you reset the prefs as per instructions found elsewhere on this forum? what is the source of the files you are trying to open. Your OLE DLL crashing would indicate that they are under control by another tool and the request to access them causes a conflict...
