I am having a real issue with Photoshop CS3 when I go to the File Open window. The windows is small and truncated. I can scroll down some, but cannot see the bottom.

Here is a link to a screen capture:

I have a dell T7400 Dual Quad Core system with 64-bit windows vista SP1, and 8 gigs of RAM. The video card is an NVIDIA Quadro FX1700 and I have all the drivers updated. I have a 24" Dell monitor running at 1900x1200.

This has always been an issue, not something new. It's driving me crazy. Any help is appreciated.

Gary,
I know vista uses directx 10. But it also uses 9c too. Have you updated 9c? Also there is a 2008 C++ runtime update.

Also you may have already looked into this too but is there any Dell only software loaded that may be causing conflict?

I can't figure out why I cannot see the full file list when I do File Open in CS3?

Dell T7400
NVIDIA 1700 Quadro
64-Bit Vista
8 Gigs of RAM.

See this screen capture. I can scroll down some, but not to the bottom of the list. It's driving me crazy!

All drivers are up-to-date, and it's done this since I installed it last September.

I can't tell if that's the OS open dialog or the "Adobe" open dialog.

If you are using the "Adobe" open dialog, switch back to the OS dialog.
If you are using the OS open dialog, then I don't know - because that comes entirely from the OS....

That's simply "File" "Open" from within Photoshop.

Browsing with explorer is fine. I only see this in Adobe CS3 apps. I get it in any of my Master Collection applications.

If it's Adobe dialog you can go into the prefs and disable Version Cue.
That will kill the Adobe dialog and get you back into the system dialog.

Bob, that was it! Version Cue! Once unchecked I can now see the entire list. Not sure why this happened, but I'm a happy camper!
