I'd be curious to at least explore the Configurator's potential usefulness, given I'm a fan of button panels over keyboard shortcuts. But, I also like tidy and compact, as in a button bar rather than some panel that occupies a larger area. Still, it appears the panel is dimensioned however one prefers, so that may give the flexibility desired. Back in the days when Extensis PhotoBars would work with Photoshop, I'd take a similar approach and create a custom toolbar that had my most used commands on it...much nicer than having to move my hand off the mouse to the keyboard and back, if wanting some quick access to a command (as a shortcut offers) other than via a nested menu. The Configurator may be a bit like PhotoBars on steroids, offering greatly extended flexibility, and such a tool might motivate me more toward purchasing CS4, which I've yet to find any real need to do given my satisfaction with CS3 in spite of not having such customizability.
