CS4 now goes online for help. I have downloaded the PDF help file to avoid this. Is there some way to have the CS4 help menu or F1 key open up the PDF rather than going online.

Thanks, Dennis

If you are working in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Fireworks, or Dreamweaver, and you want to turn off Community Help so that local Help opens by default, do the following:

1. Open the Connections panel (Window > Extensions > Connections).
2. From the Connections panel menu , select Offline Options.
3. Select Keep Me Offline and click OK.

Note: When you disable web services from the Connections panel, all other web services (such as Adobe Kuler and Adobe ConnectNow) are also disabled.

is there no way to make the default the pdf manual (on the local machine)
and still have access to the community help?
(I placed the a shortcut to the pdf on the toolbar and just click on it when
i need the user manual)

Good to have a workaround for this. I hate when stuff goes online when it's available much more reliably locally. I thought they had just removed it entirely, and to hell with people with limited internet connections.
