CS4 Clonestamp error

Hello all, I am having a problem with PS CS4 when I go to use the clone stamp tool I get an error message stating "could not use clone stamp because of a clone stamp error" I searched around but only found topics relating to cs3. I am using a Gateway gt series with Vista home premium Nvidia GEforce 8500 video card and 4 gb ram. Thanks in advance

wacom tablet involved...?
In photoshop.....In expanded view turn off shape dynamics w/ brush prests selected..
Your pen works already w/ shape dynamics on...since it detects pen pressure!
Not so w/ mouse...again turn off...

No i do not have a wacom tablet. I turned off shape dynamics but still get the same error.

Try resetting the tool.

OK, then disable the overlay in the Clone Source panel.
