I am an experienced Photoshop user. Windows XP. I recently moved from CS3 to CS4. No matter what I do, my pictures all print way too dark. I have two Epson printers... a RX620 and a R2400, and no matter what I do, pictures print too dark on both printers. I must have something set wrong. I have disabled printer color mgt. and allow Photoshop to manage colors... I am editing RGB... 8 bits.... Adobe RGB (1998)... I have calibrated my monitor with Eye-One Display 2... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.... HELP!!!

Start by listing the exact steps you use from file to print, including screen shots of your print driver settings. There may be something you missed in there somewhere.

Hi Jess

Set PS to manage colour

Set no colour in the printer driver

Set the profile to R2400 or RX620.

I have noticed there is something wrong with the epson drivers when the profile is set to aRGB or the paper profles....as it seems to double print.

Chris,
Can you please elaborate on you comments above. I too am having problems with my 3800. I have tried aRGB and ProPhoto colorspaces with the same results. PS manages color with "no color adjustment" set in the printer profile and it seems to be double profiling. I cannot figure out where. I have not had CM problems for years, but now!!!!! My monitor is calibrated with i1Display2 and SpectraViewII so I doubt it is the monitor. Still trying to figure it out.
