I can't get the red brush preview to work. I can change the brush size through the shortcut (alt, right-click, drag), but it doesn't preview.

Also, when I try to change the hardness, I get no preview at all either. The command works, but all I get it a round hairline.

Thanks in advance for your help

Jose

Quick Mask?

Change your foreground color in your tool box to black.

The hardness and brush size preview requires a graphics card and driver with the appropriate OpenGL level. Also, the OpenGL feature needs to be enabled in Ps preferences. Ensure that you using the latest driver software for your GPU.

Wolf, thanks for your reply! I think I read somewhere that OpenGL only runs on Vista? Or mabe 64bit OS? I'm not sure...

I'm running Win XP 32bit SP3 with an nVidia, NVS 290, 256MB dual DVI Graphics Card and dual monitors.

Thanks in advance,

Jose

OpenGL is supported on WinXP 32-bit systems. And I believe your card has the appropriate requirements. Ensure that you are running the latest driver (Quadro Release 181.20).

Thanks Wolf. I updated the video card drivers and enabled OpenGL. It works like a charm!!! That also solved the brush preview problem.
