I have a serious issue with Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1 (I had it before updating to 7.0.1) :
When I'm working, every 10-20 minutes, Photoshop makes randomly the computer reboot ...
My computer is a bit old, but it was a time i didn't have any problem, and no other software or game makes my computer reboot (I tried to reinstall windows (currently XP SP3) but this didn't change anything).
Is there a way to fix that please ? I'm very bothered, because i always lose data ...
Thanks a lot in advance :)
I'm absolutely sure it doesn't show any BSOD, but i don't think it is due to an hardware problem, because it's the only software that makes the computer rebooting (even softwares and games that uses a lot of CPU, RAM or GPU does't makes it rebooting).

software doesn't make a modern operating system reboot. xp and vista are "process isolated" which means that when a process (application) goes down, it can't take the rest down with it. something photoshop is doing is exposing a hardware problem you have. other apps may not hit that problem, or hit it in the same way, but PS does.
my last upgrade was due to something similar where only ps made the system reboot. i've since reused that old ram and the cpu in my daughter's system, which leads me to believe there was a fault somewhere on the mobo (after about 4 years of use).
So the only solution for me is replacing RAM ? (i'm on a laptop)
