What is Adobe Drive CS4 and how can I remove it.

It gets in the way of a number of keyboard shortcuts I have made over the years and I have no idea what it is or why I want it, so I would like to uninstall it but cannot find anything on it anywhere.

thanks

I have never used it.

To remove it: google the subject and you will get 14,000 plus hits.

I recall seeing Adobe Drive as a Photoshop CS4 install option (just Photoshop, I don't know about the suites - multiple program install). One method would be to uninstall PS then reinstall with a custom install that does not include Adobe Drive. Perhaps someone else may have an easier method.

thanks guys... I don't want to totally uninstall because of all the time just spent adding all my plugins and the google searches talk about installing Adobe Drive CS4 and then uninstalling in control panel... but after installing it, there is no entry in my control panel uninstall section..

guess I'll have to do the dreaded registry deletes that several google guys report.

cheers,
tom

If you do the suite uninstall you should have the option in there to just
uninstall certain parts of the suite and not the entire thing. Basically a
custom uninstall of just parts you don't want like Adobe Drive.

If you have the Drive already installed, it is not necessary to uninstall PS. Go to Device manager, remove programs, and click on PS as you would to uninstall. This will bring up a dialog to allow you to remove all or just components of CS4. In fact, this is exactly what I am doing with Adobe Drive as I type this response.

THANKS, Jimmy-

In fact, I did not uninstall PS... I used the PS CD and clicked on the PS category and unchecked everything else but Bridge.

It ran for about 10 minutes and when it was done all the extraneous detritus was removed and all the settings and shortcuts in PS and BR remained intact.

Guess there are quite a ffew ways to deal with this pesky new "feature" <g>

cheers,

tom
