try resetting hte preferences (instructions in the forum FAQ). failing that, roll back the driver you installed.

so far i've tried deleting photoshop's preferences. Still the same problem. Someone told me that it could be related to my printer driver i think the file associated with it is

Fault Module Name:dlbttwds.ds

if anyone knows how to uninstall a printer driver for a dell printer. Please notify me before i try to do so myself

hi xavier, start> settings> control panel> printers. delete the dell printer. (dell right?) get the latest printer driver for the specific model printer from dell's website and run the installation, following dell's instructions.

For anyone having problems with photoshop which is associated with a a dell printer, what you have to do is find the folder or life twain32 and add a ~ front of it like SO : ~TWAIN32. if you want more information on it, i noticed someone had a similar problem some time ago and did the exact same thing

that will disable the plugin, but then you won't be able to use it in photoshop. i'm guessing since it's associated with twain that you have one of those "all in one" kind of printers that does printing and scanning (and maybe copying)?

yeah it is an all in one printer( to be exact an AIO 922 printer from dell) for now photoshop is working at least, as for the printer, considering it is an old one, say 6 years already, an aquaintance of a family member said that the appcrash could have been due to the fact that its rather old and oudated. However for now i really only need a printer for college term papers, still it is useful to know what exactly adding a ~ to the twain file actually did so i'll keep it in mind since most likely i should consider a new printer.

I solved the Issue. Renamed the Folder c:\windows\TWAIN_32 to c:\windows\~twain_32.

The problem occurred with Dell AIO 922 printer.

I am having a similar problem. However, I have a brother all in one printer. I tried reinstalling the driver but it didn't do anything. I am running Vista 64bit.

Rachel - no, you do not have a similar problem. You are dealing with a completely different application "PhotoshopElementsOrganizer" which is not related to Photoshop except in the name. Try posting in the Elements forum.
