Okay so, whenever I try and install (In Vista 64bit) CS4 I get the error:

Adobe Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack
Error:
Error 2.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack_x64
Error:
Error 2.

LangPack (English) for DeviceCentral
Error:
Error 2.

Does anyone out there know what causes the above errors with CS4 installation? Does anyone know the solution, a Google search provides some clues but none that seem logically worked out.

The only real solution I could find was one telling me to do some things with the public folder, I tried that and the did a clean reinstall and no dice. Will be trying that again, any help would be amazing!!

Do you have any other CS4 apps on the system? Sometimes it refuses to install if it detects other items that use different language packs. Definitely try using the CS4 clean utility to unregister all CS4 and CS3 installs, then try another install.

Tried that first, and used the windows cleaner as well. Any other thoughts?

Hi,

I had exactly the same problem.

I took a deep breath and tried again. There was a LOT of activity on my DVD drive when it got close to the point where it failed before, but second time round it worked.

I can only conclude that there is a compatibility issue with my DVD drive and the media that CS4 is shipped on.

Previously in similar situations, I have made a copy of the media on another machine and tried that.

Hope this helps,

Shahzad
