installed brushes don't work CS2

put them in the brush folder, and inside the brush folder there is another folder called "adobe photoshop only" with some other brushes that came with it, i tried putting them in there too but still, they don't show up when i used the brush tool :(
am i missing something? the brush files are all .abr
