I have quite a number of old DCS 1.0 files, in CMYK. Does anyone know if it is possible to take the main eps and the ancillary .C, .M, .Y, .K, and merge them into one high-res photoshop file?

Thanks for your suggestion.

Open the .c, .m, .y and .k files in PS. Go to one of the files and go to the channels panel. In the flyout menu, there's an option to merge channels. Merge to CMYK, and select the correct file to channel. Save as tiff/psd/etc.

Just open the main file in Photoshop - it does the merge for you.

Thanks you for the suggestions. I may be dealing with corrupt files though. When opening the files, even force opening, Photoshop gives me the "Does not recognize file type" error along with a dumb look. When I preform this task with a current DCS 1.0 file it works out fine. Leading me to believe that the older files may be corrupt.

Thanks for you help

ok, if the files are corrupt, DCS 1.0 can be difficult to read (it relies on a lot of things being "just right" among all the files).

See if they will either Open or Place in Illustrator CS4.
