My radius setting in USM is causing some detail, usually grey, to turn bright green.

The most extreme example has been on grey chicken wire on a grey background. I have also had it on spots of grey lichen on a grey wall.

I have trashed preferences.

Any ideas?

What settings are you using for USM? Can you post a link to a sample of what you see?

Could this be the result of Chromatic Aberration (a lens defect) that exists in your original image and is being accentuated when you apply USM?

What kind of monitor are you using?

Bob,

Also, if you push some ACR color settings to far, you can get fringing as well.

Any of the items cited here can be responsible. So, please get back to us.

Thanks.

Neil
