Printing Calibration?
I am a previous user of Photoshop 5.5 and
have upgraded to Photoshop 7.0. I have also upgraded to a new PowerMac G4 system plus LCD monitor, and EPSON Stylus Photo 2200 printer. The problem is that all of the older files generated in Photoshop 5.5 do not look the same as they used to and do not print out the same as what is on screen. The contrast of colors is the most noticeable variation seen in printouts.
I have tried adjusting all of the color settings
and used the "Photoshop 5.0 default spaces". This resolved the on-screen appearance, but not the printer results. I have also tried using a Pantone Spyder w/ PhotoCAL, but this was useless as far as altering any printing results. EPSON tech support believes that there is a setting in Photoshop Color Management that can remedy my printing problem. I have read the Photoshop manual's section on consistent color etc. Still no answer. Epson mentioned something about files being set to "Adobe RGB", however I am not sure where within PS 7.0 this change can be made.
If there is anyone who is knowledgeable regarding printing within Photoshop 7.0 or color calibration, your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
