Maybe I should start this list of things STILL not fixed for the 200buck upgrade of CS4

First up: the inserted menu items still do not stick and stay in Actions from session to session.

Can you drag an item from a parent layer to a child layer if "Show layers only" is on? That's when you can only see layers in the Layers panel and not individual objects. That's been broken for at least the last three versions.

Not sure what that implies: how can you drag if the child layer is not shown?

The filters menu is gone for good. Only effects are now available. Arrow heads are exactly the same trash as always available only as an effect. Same with offset path. Someone's not going to like that one. Once you expand the offset path effect, the original path disappears. So useful isn't it. But if you're drawing clowns for a living it might work for you.

I cannot drag an object from the "Foreground" layer to the "Type" layer in the Layers panel. This bug has existed in 11, 12, and 13. Probably 9 and 10, too.

Oh, you mean a sublayer which is the way AI calls 'em.

I don't bother with sublayers because it complicates my particular workflow unnecessarily.

But I checked and the behavior is exactly the same. I don't think it's a bug though. It looks like it was designed that way so you don't get the art confused, otherwise I don't think there would be that little negative stop sign showing (red circle with a slash)

Multiple artboards are a somewhat PITA though. Maybe I just have to get used to doing it their way instead of the way I think it should work.

But it does work if Show Layers Only is unchecked.

Bug.
