Framemaker hangs when using FM-files in ClearCase

I hope someome can help us with some problems we have since we archive
our Structured Framemaker 8.0 source files in ClearCase. We are using
a Dynamic View for editing the FM-files and we check out the FM-files
before working on them. We have problems with:
- printing book-files
- making PDF-files out of FM-files
In all above mentioned cases it seems that the Framemaker process
"hangs".
In ClearCase the book files are located on the same directory as the
FM-files that are linked in the book-file

Further I myself have a problem with comparing FM-files one my PC
where others in my company do not have that problem. The Framemaker
process "hangs".
Maybe someone could you give us tips on solving these problems. Thanks
