Create PDF/A-1b compliant files

I have tried to convert several MSWord files to PDF/A-1b even using
preflight to analise and correct errors. So far I have not been able
to convert any of them successfully. I get these errors and do not
know where to correct them or change the settings they refer to.
XMP property not predefinedand no extention schema present.
Compressed object streams used
PDF/A entry missing
Annotation has no Flags entry
Annotation not set to print
Font not embedded
Please can someone help me to know where do i correct these errors?
