Hello
I'm Working for a design company. A client has seen a pdf that had the 'turning page effect' to skip through a 6 page pdf. They now want us to create the same feature We are using Acrobat 4 on a Mac (Mac OS 9....yes i know it's old...).
Can this be done? do we need to download a programme for a trial period?
We are hoping to supply them with something for Monday..can anyone help?
Thanks
Jez

hmm... I'm thinking that perhaps the pdf had a movie, swf file or powerpoint presentation embedded within a pdf to accomplish this if the pdf file was older.

Jeremy, I have worked with 4, 5 and 6 and know of no 'turning page effect'.

Unless like thumbsinger said that it is an embedded media file.

Are you sure they were not refering to a page transition?

Have them sit by you at the screen and show them...

(Acrobat menu) Document > Pages > Set Page Transitions...

There is quite a list, some could be described in this manner.

Hi Jeremy,
Your client might be referring to the “Zenio Reader”, which has a page turning effect, (I find it a bit annoying).
Check out their website: <http://www.zinio.com/>
Several magazines, like US News, now use Zenio for their electronic editions.
It‘s based on a pdf that they’ve dressed to give you an online replication of a magazine.
I’m not sure how to add the “page turning effect“ to a pdf that you’ve created.

Sorry for knowing little about Acrobat.
But for turning page effect, maybe you can take a try of free online service Codebox or Issuu. Also Kvisoft flipbook maker pro is another available choice: http://bit.ly/ymDrhl
