FLEX RAILS QUERY(SESSION)

Hello All,

This is something new for me. Please help me to resolve the following
problem.

I am using Flex in my application of course Flex in rails.

I am using Flex in UI for widgets, where it calls a rails method which
gives a .rxml file from where it gets the data to put it into the
widget.

Hi. I am new to Flex and rails. I am doing a To-Do application. It has
tabbed interfaces. When the user is logged in the first tab displays a
datagrid component listing all the tasks. This uses the index action
of Rails. Everything is working good. I need to show the task details
when I double click a task in the datagrid in a new Tab. I do this by

Your boss didn't want you to spend too much time learning... nice. I
guess he just wants you to come across tons of issues while working on
real-life projects then.

I would suggest starting with HttpService since its implementation is
simpler, Flex will be consuming the XML generated naturally by the
Rails backend. Using RemoteObject will imply additional plugins on the
Rails side and object instantiation on the Flex side.

The book that allowed me to develop my first prototype without having
to learn RoR and Flex separately is Peter Armstrong's "Flexible
Rails". My boss didn't want me to spend too much time learning... and
that book did the trick. I still bought the Pragmatic "Agile Web
Development with Rails" and "Programming Ruby", but haven't had time

Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions. I decided to learn ruby
and then rails first then will move to action script and flex.One more
question i would like to ask. which one is better for flex and rails
integration "Httpservice " or RemoteObjects?
