I have managed to install AditMove to my PC (running XP) but AditTrec
does not in stall on the Palm TX.
I have found the file Palm AditTrecCAB.cab on my Palm but the Palm
displays a message
"This handheld does not have an application that can open this kind of
File"
Does any body have an application that will run on my Palm TX, or is
there a work round to get the file installed?

Thanks for your help inadvance

Hi

The latest version of AditTrec only runs on Pocket PCs (devices
running Mobile Windows).
We originally developed the software for the Palm OS, but Palm devices
with GPS are/were very expensive, whereas Pocket PCs were not.
I have uploaded the original Palm version and documentation to this
forum - should still work ok.

Cheers

Hi
I have found a small problem with AditTrec.

After entering data (site/species etc) on the Palm TX all looks fine.
I can see a list of species seen by pressing the number of records,
but no other information.

After importing the data in to AditSite and checking the "Todays
Entries" I get the list but it shows the species seen but links all to
just one site (the first site in the list I imported on to the Palm
TX) not to the different sites that the species was seen.

I'm I doing something wrong or is the program playing up?

If you wish I can send you the back-up copy of the program (when back-
up to the PC) and that file that is imported in to AditSite.

Please help

Let me have a copy of the import file - not sure if AditSite is
ignoring the sites, or AditTrec is not recording them properly in the
first place.

Looks like the process on the Palm at fault, but I think can be
corrected during import.
Will you try the test version of AditSite in the download file
AditTwin.zip and let me know the results.

Cheers

Hi Paul

I tried it first with the small file that I sent you. I have now tried
it with a large file and again all seems to import ok
