Hello,
I am using, or experimenting the use, of adhearsion as a "scriptlet" server
for a number of asterisk/freeswitch boxes. Basically it stays between them
and a complex ActiveRecord-mapped infrastructure, and doesn't handle entire
calls but just small sparse tasks, like screening and credit processing.

Perhaps I am not really understanding the big picture of adhearsion, yet, but
it has proven quite good to the task so far, until i have come to notice some
of the asterisk-specific dialplan/agi commands are marked as protected for no
appearent (to me :) reason. I can see the need for a more abstracted approach
to that, but why "execute" is public, and "set_caller_id_number" is
protected?

I know i can get around it in several ways, but if I am writing a component
performing just presentation screening, what's the best way to change the
callerid for the call, in line with future development of ahn?

Just trying to figure it all,
thanks
lele
