And now for something completely different - Introducing "I am"

It's time to try something a little different in the EMG. Members may
be familiar with Reddit, one of the larger social groups online. For
Reddit one of the frequent style of forum posts is the "I am" series
where somebody introduces themselves via a post as (for example) "I am
an astronaut" then Reddit members can ask the "I am" celebrity any
questions they feel like.

Hey, if it works for Reddit, it should work for us! .... but of course
with an ADF bent ;-)

This week Ultan O'Brion will be introducing himself on the EMG as our
"I am" celebrity. Very briefly Ultan is a User Experience (UX)
specialist within Oracle Corporation. What's UX you ask?! ..... well
let's just say I had no idea earlier last year, but with a little
presentation from Oracle I realised it's an exciting area of computing
with huge implications to ADF user interface design (right up the
EMG's alley).

So what's in this for you? You can simply watch the conversation
thread started between me an Ultan to learn about UX, why it's
important to you, and Oracle's expertise in this area. But what I'm
really hoping is you'll take the opportunity to join in the thread
asking questions to further your own interests and expertise. Think
of it as an adhoc training exercise with an expert sitting in a
virtual classroom waiting for your questions.

Okay, here goes, let's watch this space for Ultan to post his
introduction, I'll pop in a few questions that Ultan will answer, then
feel free to join the chat.
