Hello all,
Has anyone done any work with integrating Essbase data into their ADF application?  I'm having trouble finding information on doing it.  I've found references to an ADF Essbase data control, including sample screenshots of Essbase data in an app, and some references to the run-time library, but I can't find any documentation on how to use it, or even javadocs for the library.  There's lots of stuff that comes up when you google it, but no detail about how/what/why/etc.

So, is this functionality fully implemented?  Or is it still a future release thing?  Has anybody used it (or maybe used the Essbase Java APIs)?  And does anybody know of any resources (docs/guides/tutorials) for using it?

Thanks for any help.

Right now the Essbase Data Control is used pretty extensively by Fusion Apps. There was always some debate about at what point it would be opened up for "public" use. But basically, yes it is real if not "available".

So are the choices right now to either use the Essbase Java API or wait and see what Oracle does with the data control?

And if that's the case, has anybody ever used the Essbase Java API in an ADF app (or in general), and do you have any advice/insights/caveats from your experience?

Is the Essbase data control included in 11.1.2.3?  I ask because it is explicitly listed as something that is NOT included in ADF Essentials.

Essbase Data control is not in 11.1.2.3.0. Neither are the BI and BAM data controls. We wanted to explicitly mention them as excluded components/features, even though for 11.1.2.3 release it's a moot point.
