The Board is composed of 17 members appointed by the Mayor, City Council and community and business groups. They have been tasked with examining and recommending changes to the City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Code which deals with the licensing of establishments that sell liquor, beer and wine, as well as the enforcement of such laws. As part of their review, ATAG II is required to conduct public hearings in each quadrant of the City.

The Board is expected to make final recommendations to the City Council by December 2012.
