I've posted about this before, but Monica had expressed an interested in seeing activity streams implemented in JavaScript and so I wanted to point out Opera's work in this area:

I don't know if any Opera folks are on this list or watching, but I'd be keen to see an open source library built out that people could use on their sites to pull in activity feed from many sources and have the outputs rejiggered or configured on the fly in Javascript.

Thanks Chris

As we look to enhance the publishing into the stream, examples like
this are very helpful. Do you think this generic model is the way to
go ?
Do you think the generic model has enough flexibility to allow for
rendering of the content without looking at the html ?

A couple more items we have on MySpace's activity object model are
name, description, location, parent(target), owner, previous sibling
and thumbnail.

Also we have classes which derive from the activity object model class
which include Person, Event, Music and Video mainly because they have
relevant additional properties.

Let me see if I can generate some js proxies for these.

Also question is there a way to try unite with activity stream
publishing ? Does unite know how to broadcast ingested activities ?

Thanks !
