Hey all,

What would folks think about doing an Activity Streams meet-up / working session either on Wednesday 10/14 or Friday, 10/16?  It would potentially be convenient for folks who might be coming-in for the below event.  Thoughts?  --

Friday is good, as that way we can recruit people from the RWW event to join us at the AS meetup

I'm flying in from England on 10/16, so I might potentially be able to
take part in a short meetup on that date though I'm probably going to be
pretty jet-lagged and not incredibly useful. :)

i think most will leave by friday but there is a great chance of picking up people from that event the night before.

i'd choose wed night for that reason.

What about doing the meeting on the night of the Real Time Web conf?

After the conf, there will be drinks at a place nearby, and then after
that we could just go back and do a meeting?
That way we have the most chance of getting the most folks already in
the same place from the event.

I'd be a fan of either Thursday evening, Friday afternoon/lunch, or both.

Maybe we could do a meeting around current implementers helping potential new implementers (from the RWW conference) on Thursday evening and then maybe a working session on Friday lunch/afternoon. That would also possibly give Chris a chance to get back from England for the working session.

If folks want to be near the computer history museum for either one, I can get space at the Microsoft SVC campus a few blocks away.

Thoughts, suggestions, etc.?

Thanks--

How about doing both then.. so that some can attend Thurs night, and
then a Friday day session?

+1 (I have mostly been lurking on this list, but will be at the
conference and would love to make a Friday meet-up.)

Hey all,
I've posted a wiki page at: http://wiki.activitystrea.ms/Meetup+notes+2009-10-16 so we can collaboratively build an agenda.

I've tried to grab recent threads and hopefully folks can turn these into more detailed wiki pages (I think some already may be)

Ryan Boyd (from Google) and I are seeing if either of us can host since our Mountain View campuses are relatively close to the RWW Summit site.

Is it possible for someone remote to attend these meetings?

I agree! It would be great if we could have some way to involve those
not in the area.
