Draft Salmon RFC published; comments requested

All,

I've published a first official draft of the Salmon Protocol specification (draft-panzer-salmon-00) at http://salmon-protocol.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/draft-panzer-salmon-00.html.  It incorporates many of the suggestions and cleanups that have been discussed over the past couple of months formally and informally. Please take a look & comment; feel free to use the issue tracker at http://code.google.com/p/salmon-protocol/issues/entry to file issues and make suggestions (the best way to make sure comments don't fall through the cracks).

I will start filing issues myself, in particular for the issues that James raised 2 weeks ago regarding the Magic Signatures document, along with anything else not addressed in the first RFC draft.

From this point forward, changes to the specifications will be done only via the SVN repository at http://code.google.com/p/salmon-protocol/, primarily in response to issues filed there, and the changes tracked via revision control.
