Hey All,

I see that ActiveMerchant can now use Auth.net's ARB API. How does
one tell if any subscription has been successfully or unsuccessfully
charged.

For example, if I create a subscription to be charged monthly, what
happens when the user cancel's their card account? How do I know that
any of those charges is failing?

I guess I could use the CIM API, but that's not implemented with
Active Merchant, is it?

Both CIM and ARB are implemented.

With ARB I believe the way that you check that charges are successful
is through the use of a Silent Post URL. There has been some previous
discussion about this on this list. Check out the following:

(Pertinent discussion is near the end)

Best of luck,

Hey, thanks! I'd prefer to use CIM, but I couldn't find any reference
to it at http://activemerchant.rubyforge.org/. Am I looking in the
wrong place?

Thanks!
Mike

It's in the code: lib/active_merchant/billing/gateways/
authorize_net_cim.rb

A Gem with CIM in it hasn't been published yet. You'll have to check
Active Merchant out from SVN or install as a plugin to use it until a
new Gem is released.
