Hi

Is there a way to search a repository and tell fedora how to sort the
results (i.e. sort by mDate asc)?

Thanks for your help

This is exactly why activefedora is tied in with Solr.  By default, activefedora will put all of your metadata into Fedora _and_ Solr.  You can then use solr to achieve all of the search goodness you desire.  Visit the solr website & wiki for technical detail on all of the whizbang stuff you can do with it.

Matt

Thanks for your quick reply!.

So the way to go is Solr. I hoped, that i can achieve this with a
standard fedora setup.
