Research and Instruction Librarian – First year programs – One Year
Appointment (with possible renewal)

The WPI Gordon Library invites applications for a creative, flexible,
student-centered, technologically adept, and service oriented Research
and Instruction Librarian who will support First Year Programs within
a dynamic team-oriented environment. This First Year Librarian
collaborates with faculty/staff to develop further the library’s
information literacy, personal librarian and other outreach
initiatives. The librarian in this exciting new position serves as
liaison for WPI's courses and programs such as Great Problem Seminars,
INSIGHT advising, and new student orientation. Responsibilities
include service on the library's Research and Instruction team to
coordinate, design, promote, implement, and assess instruction and
outreach programs for first-year students. In addition, the librarian
will provide research and instruction services to the WPI community,
incorporating appropriate technologies, skills, innovations, and
collaborations as needed and will support academic departments as a
library liaison.

Research and Instruction Librarian – Science and Engineering Graduate
Support Services

The WPI Gordon Library seeks an energetic and innovative library
leader with a background in science and/or engineering to develop
rapidly expanding graduate-level Information Literacy and associated
initiatives. This person, in the position of Research and Instruction
Librarian - Science and Engineering Graduate Support Services, will
play a key outreach role, supporting academic departments as a library
liaison and provide research education services and current
information on library resources and services. The incumbent assists
faculty and research groups with preparation of grant proposal
materials including data management plans and data curation activities
for the community. Working closely with librarians, academic
technology staff, and faculty, the librarian in this newly created
position plays a central role in promoting establishing the WPI
Library as a hub of resources and services for graduate students and
faculty researchers at WPI.
