Case (in-)sensitivity in Windows
Has anyone got something equivalent to trfs that drops filenames to lower case? I have to work in Windows land again, and MS's broken compilers drop reported error paths to lower case, breaking right-click to open. I figure something to squash all windows paths to lower case for me would let me... more »

Compiling/building acme-sac on Mac OS question
Hi everyone, acme-sac newbie here. After watching Russ Cox's video about acme I finally decided to give it a spin (after some previous "almost" moments, and having played with plan9 a long time ago in a virtual machine), and downloaded plan9ports and used acme for a while. Great so far, even though it won't stop me from using... more »

Acme window will not display in Windows 7
I've recently downloaded acme-0.13.zip to a new Windows 7 Pro x64 based machine, but I've never encountered this problem in the past. After running Acme.exe, I get the usual pause while it's dis'ing for the first time, but the window never displays while the process is still shown as running in Task Manager. Subsequent runs yield the same results. Any idea what would... more »

The ".dis" Files
Hi, There are many .dis files in "/acme/dis/" and maybe some are implementations of the commands executable by ACME. What language is that and where can I find more documentation ? Thanks

Global Substitution Tools
Hey guys, I found myself re-reading the ACME paper by Rob Pike and the subfolder "/acme/edit" was mentioned. It's supposed to have tools for executing global substitution actions and such. Considering that this introductory paper is relatively old, could it be that the was relocated somewhere else ?... more »

How do you target a column to open files/execute commands in at startup ?
Hi, I have a couple of folders and files I like having opened up at startup. I have this in my profile: "acme -a /n/C/Users/victor/Dropbox /n/C/Users/victor/Documents/Pr ojects /usr/victor/" They open in the left column, and since they are folders I usually move them to the right. Is there a way to open them in that column ?... more »

Lock-ups on Acme-SAC on two different OS's.
Hello list(s), I'm doing my annual "try to fall in love with Acme" push. I've been using the heck out of it to learn Limbo & the shell through all the nice docs web pages out there (thank you). I've had a few lock-ups after executing a few shell commands (haven't found a pattern or offending command yet).... more »

External Host Commands
Hi, I have been using ACME-SAC on my Windows 7 setup and it's been a nice productivity tool so far. I have not found a way for running external commands. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks,

Blurry font on Windows?
Is there a way to fix the font blurriness on Windows? I think what I'm getting at is whether there's a way to turn of antialiasing for acme- sac, but I'm not sure if that's it or not. Thanks.
