The difference from .06 are:
- Floppy check is actually in the system
- Updated ipop.sh script to remove reliance on time (sleep), which fixed
issues that appeared in slow machines (i.e. Qemu)
- Fixed a few bugs in the monitor that prevented it from checking condor
properly
- We had recently enabled 64-bit machines in the pool, but it seems like
some behavior has changed in them, such that, non-64-bit machines
weren't submitting to 64-bit machines
Who is this update for?
Anyone that wants to run jobs from a 32-bit environment to a 64-bit
(i.e. Archer users). Cluster managers that have issues with floppies
unmounting (happens in KVM) (i.e. FSU). If you're still using 2.02.05
and the previous issues and these issues don't affect you, then you are
fine in keeping that.
To upgrade, shutdown the VM, copy the ga-flat.vmdk into the VMs folder,
and start the VM. All floppy disks, opts, and homes will be unaffected.
Hopefully this covers all bugs. In the near future, we will be putting
together a bug tracker where users will be able to submit bug reports
and follow them. More coming...
