Facebook, XMPP, ejabberd

Facebook may be finally providing XMPP support with ejabberd server (accoriding to rumors http://www.process-one.net/en/blogs/article/facebook_chat_supports_xmpp_with_ejabberd/ ). This would be great for SocialVPN since it uses XMPP, also, it would be great if other social networking sites followed Facebook's footsteps and provided XMPP support with ejabberd since it's open source. XMPP is more matured and more powerful than OpenSocial; integrating XMPP and social networking by default would be ideal (well at least for me).
