Subject: Filters are now available in Gmail basic HTML!
A few months ago we enabled Settings in Gmail's Basic HTML view. This
summer, one of our interns Arwa Tybekhan, added support for creating
filter rules. This is part of our efforts to make this interface fully
functional.

Gmail Filter rules let you specify automatic actions to apply to
incoming email even before it hits your inbox! I use filters to
automatically sort and label my email  so that the primary inbox
remains clean.

I believe that keeping clutter out of the inbox is even more important
for screenreader users, and hope that GMail filters helps you get
through your email quicker. Here's hoping that these changes help make
Gmail your first choice for email.
