Hello,
I am a student note-taker for disabled students at the University I
currently attend. I convert the majority of my projects into files
which can be accessible for low-vision, physically disabled (cannot
turn the page or click), and learning disabled with auditory
processing problems. I am currently uploading all my time-transition
PowerPoints on Google Base for those who have challenges, and my PDF's
from the notes I take in class, but I am having issues. I convert my
digital material for classes into MP3 files, so students who cannot
turn pages or click, can listen to the course material through an MP3
player. I have been unable to find any location on Google which allow
for the uploading of MP3 files. I understand the Napster argument, but
a lot of MP3's, like mine, have a legitimate purpose for accessibility
access. Is there a way to gain an exemption for MP3 files anywhere?
My issue is that students need to access these files from wherever
they can when someone is there to assist them. Right now I am posting
them to my Yahoo Group, but I wish to have them in one place so the
students can receive the files they need to help them in their
learning experience.
Any assistance you may offer is greatly appreciated.
