I will start by saying I am not, by any definition, a painter. I have the
temperament but not the skill ;o) As a present I was given a beginers
watercolour painting set. The last couple of days I have been wandering
about looking at everything as if I were going to paint it. It's realy
opened my eyes to a whole new world. I thoroughly recommend it to any one,
even if, like me, you have no intention of actualy painting anything.

A few years ago I invested in a company that promoted an artist Geoff
Butterworth who only took up painting after a motor accident - he is now a
brilliant artist - I did a search for him the other day and found several of
his pictures on a website for an art gallery.
