As many of you are probably aware, Chris Riley is running for Place 1 on the Austin City Council.

If Chris is elected to the City Council the bicycle community will have a staunch supporter who will help us make enormous strides toward making Austin a better place to ride bikes.  Chris will help us reach our goal of being the best American city for cycling.

Chris was a member of the Street Smarts Task Force, on the Planning Commission, founded Austin Car Share, and he's been working to improve our access to alternative transportation for over 15 years.  Chris is a committed transportation cyclist and he doesn't own a car--he rides the talk.

The Riley campaign needs your help if he's going to get elected.  There are three things you can do:

Vote!  Early voting continues through Tuesday.  Chris's website has a list of all the early voting stations here:

Volunteer!  You can show up at the Riley campaign headquarters, 621 W. 7th, on the corner of 7th and Rio Grande, right behind Katz's deli.  Campaign headquarters are open 9 am to 9 pm Monday thru Friday next week, and will be open all day Saturday, election day.  If you'd like to sign up to volunteer you may do so here:

Ask ten people to vote for Chris!  To date, only 14,000 people of over 500,000 registered voters in Austin have made it to the polls.  A small number of people will make a difference in this election so please help spread the word about Chris and why it's important to make the effort to vote in this election.
