ABYSS,gcc and sparsehash installation doc

Dear ABYSS users,

 

There would be first time users who wish to install abyss-1.2.6 with opnempi and google sparsehash. I faced issues while performing the same hence prepared a document which can be referred.

 

I hope this document would be a great help to those who wish to perform:

 

- Upgradation of gcc on their ROCKS cluster

- Installation of sparsehash (compiled with the upgraded gcc)

- Finally installation of abyss-1.2.6

 

Document is based on the inputs which I gathered from ROCKS community, abyss community and sparsehash documentation.

Thanks for your documentation, Ashish. The instructions on upgrading GCC
in particular may be helpful to others on this list.

When configuring Open MPI, I use these two switches:
./configure --with-sge --enable-orterun-prefix-by-default
