The Mississippian culture was a mound-building Native American culture that flourished in what is now the Midwestern, Eastern, and Southeastern United States from approximately 800 CE to 1500 CE, varying regionally.[1]

The Mississippian way of life began to develop in the Mississippi River Valley (for which it is named). Cultures in the tributary Tennessee River Valley may have also begun to develop Mississippian characteristics at this point. Almost all dated Mississippian sites predate 1539 (when Hernando de Soto explored the area).

Not sure how other pre-columbian cultures and networks fit in with the Mississippian.

Be it the Aztec,Olmec, Maya, Incan of Central and South America, or the Iraquious (sp) and Algonquin of the North East forest cultures, or the cultures of the Hopi/Anasazi/Navajo and like? As well as the trading network of the Chilkoots/Chilkat of NW US and Alaskan Coast, and likely down the coast to Baja california and beyond?

Some elements of the old Abrigon was some of the cultures are loosly based on ancient earth pre-modern era cultures.

Thessa - Greek/Hellenistic
Latinia - Latin/Roman
Keltoi - Celtic
