Great to see so much networking and discussion! Does any one know of a
group meeting in the LA area? Or, is anyone interested in starting
one?
I work at a small niche museum with a very large collection, and would
be delighted to talk about any and all issues at museums, libraries,
archives, etc.
Also, I'd love to discuss issues via email : what collections
management software do you use and how do you like it? Do you use a
local thesaurus or a tagging system with your software? What is your
registration process? Do you rely on staff or volunteers for
processing? Approximately how long does it take to process one item,
on average, from start to finish at your institution?
