Dream Day on Cape Cod www.dreamdayoncapecod.org

serves families that have children with life-threatening and/or serious
illnesses and conditions. Their camp is located at Nickerson State Park here
on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Each summer they can host up to 48 families
(over 6 weeks), free of charge! They are a small organization with a big
heart and proud to serve the spectrum of complex health needs, including but
not limited to cancer, HIV, sickle cell, cerebral palsy, and so many more.
This opportunity is not restricted to Massachusetts residents, so feel free
to share with friends and family
.

2012 summer camp sessions run from Sunday to Friday, beginning on July 1st.
They can host up to 8 families for each session. Each gets their own cabin
with beds, bunks, and a small fridge. Showers are located in a separate
building.

This is truly a family camp - all activities are family-centered, with
full-day schedules of traditional types of camp activities like arts &
crafts, swimming, boating, archery, playground, as well as field trips to
the ocean and many popular Cape Cod attractions. Each family stays in their
own cabin. The Camp's goal is truly to support the family unit - outside of
hospitals and doctor's offices. Staff includes counselors, lifeguards, a
full time cook, and a nurse. Note: they do not have medical facilities which
is an important consideration for some families. Again, this is all at no
cost to families.
