I just wanted to share another milestone with Trisha.  Last night after she ate dinner she pointed to her mouth and said teeth, I asked what about your teeth and she signed corn on the cob so of course that made sense to me as she tends to get corn caught between her front teeth but usually she doesn't say anything and I usually notice it when she opens her mouth.  This time it must have been uncomfortable and when I checked her teeth there was a chunk of the cob stuck in her teeth and it was sharp too.  This is the first time she was able to tell me without me having to ask 20 questions.  These are small steps but to me they are giant steps.  :-)

Congratulations to both of you mom, little steps are so big for us. I know exactly what you mean, and I think it is because we´ve been patient enough to ask the 20 questions so many times that they are making the effort now and start to understand how great it is to be understood. They try to find ways...

Pau has just started to realize that people don´t wait for him to answer back, like when people pass by and say "Hi, Pau" and Pau is trying to raise his right hand and say "hello" ( opening and closing his hand). Before , he used to do that and if the person had already gone he wouldn´t say anything but now he looks at me and says " mom" and looks at the person that has just passed by . Then if I manage to bring that person back to him he starts kissing me, isn´t that real sweet communication?.
It´s amazing how subtle our kids can be and how much they trust us.
I´ve always thought our kids´communication succeeds depending on who is standing in front of them. And as far as I´m concerned I want to be that bridge for my son until one day hopefully he may start becoming a more independent communicator.
So mom, congratulations for being there again. Yeahh!!

Doing Kendra's "yah yah dance" for Trisha! She does a little dance,
it is so cute, she will go around signing yeah yeah, i did it, i did
it, oh yah and swinging her little tiny hips in a circle and trying to
snap her fingers, with the whole shoulder thing going too ;) So we
will do one saying Trisha did it, she did it, LOL

Kind of like the first time Kendra actually asked to use her device to
chat on facebook a couple of weeks ago. Come a long way from turning
off the device because she couldn't find something quickly enough to
keep up with her need to communicate quickly.
