This is from Kathy Vonk, a local law enforcemnt officer and a huge local bicycle advocate. Innappropriate Messages On AABTS Forum
With the latest "Paris Hilton" message on this forum, I would say time has come that people have to request to join the group. Another option would be to convert to a Yahoo discussion group where people have to actually type a sentence or two telling why they want to join.   Bob Krzewinski... more »

Gary Update 10-23-09
Monday I visited Gary and Linda. When I arrived and went to his room, the room was empty - wall to wall empty. Fortunately a nurse was near and directed me to Gary's new room - 430. Phew. Linda wanted me to stay for a while because the case worker was coming in for a visit. Gary also was very adamant that I remain so I stayed. Before the case... more »

Sharon Township - Trustees Against Wide Shoulders On M-52?
The Washtenaw Bicycling and Walking Coalition recently received an email from a Sharon Township resident saying that the Township Trustees there voted down an offer to pave the shoulders along M-52, even though it was at no cost to the Township. Apparently there seems to be some bias towards cyclists and wider road shoulders on MY-52 may also have been characterized as "bike lanes".... more »

Jump Start your off-season: 2 Stationary Trainers for Sale
I've got two stationary trainers for sale. The first is a Performance "Travel Trac" magnetic trainer. I don't know the specific model number. It has a cable-activated resistance control you can mount to your handlebar to adjust the flywheel's resistance. It's in decent condition and you can get a pretty good... more »

FS: Like New Carnac M3 Mountain Shoe size 42.5
I have a pair of Carnac M3 Mountain Shoes for sale. I've tried them on, so I can't call them new, but I have not installed a set of cleats and I've never ridden with them, not even on a trainer, so they're about as close as you can get. They're a size 42.5, which, it turns out, is a little small for me. I don't have the box any more.... more »
