Subject: Area Long Range Transportation Plan Meetings (Important To Cyclists)

Over the next few weeks, the Washtenaw Area Transportation Study (WATS) will be holding public meetings to gather input for their 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRP). For projects to receive federal and state funding (i..e. bike lanes, non-motorized paths, etc.), they must first be included in the Long Range Plan, so these meeting are important to give input at if you want to see bicycling and walking facilities improved.

If you can attend any of the meetings, it would be appreciated, even if it is to give the simple comment that you want to see more facilities for bicycling and walking. For a list of meetings, visit http://www.theride.org/pdf/WATS2035.pdf or visit http://www.miwats.org/WATS/topbar/calendar.html and look for "LRP" listings.
