*Auditions in Birmingham for Indie Short Film:* Shape Films, LLC is
producing an independent short film entitled "Six Blocks Wide", featuring
director Yuri Shapochka, Director of Photography David Brower, and
screenwriter Teresa K. Thorne.  "Six Blocks Wide"" is a touching story about
wisdom, courage, and love. The film will be shot in Birmingham, Alabama this
autumn. Projected plans include intense promotions at all major festivals
and conventions. Logline: One old woman and a young girl challenge a drug
lord's grip on a small community. We are looking for experienced character
actors for the following parts: an elderly African American woman with a
feisty attitude. Spiritual leader, community matriarch; a child of
color--African American, Hispanic or mixed racial appearance; age 9-11; a
short, thin to medium build, African American; age-20' to early 30's; a
bitter drug dealer and killer; a slender African American, Hispanic or mixed
racial appearance; an African American or Hispanic; age 12-15; nervous tic
in cheek, somewhat hyper; an African American or Hispanic, heavy-set male
with friendly face; three henchmen - African American, Hispanic or
Caucasian; age 17 - early 20's; Extras for inner city neighborhood -
